Are you feeling unfulfilled? stuck? An empty void that you simply can’t explain? Maybe you’ve been doing things that you never thought you’d find yourself doing. Maybe you’ve been feeling something negative for a while that you can’t seem to shake. Perhaps you feel like it’s time to change those bad patterns.
I really enjoy what I do and in the years that I’ve been doing this I wake up looking forward to doing what I do. Whether it’s working with people who have been feeling a little bit depressed or anxious or have been struggling with addiction or working with families who are here on asylum- I do my best to help. I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology from the State University of New York College at Buffalo and my Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Medaille College. I am fully licensed to practice Mental Health Counseling and hold a credential as a substance abuse counselor through the office of alcohol and substance abuse services. I received my EMDR training in 2015. In therapy, I try to build positive, ongoing relationships while offering support and understanding through trauma informed care. I use an integrative approach that focuses on allowing people to clarify personal values and beliefs, challenging irrational thoughts that keep us from experiencing growth and getting past awful events. I help explore the role or neuro-chemicals on maladaptive behavior and addictive processes while discussing bigger issues such as biological determinism, individual free will and the reasons for one’s own existence while weighing personal responsibility for our choices and create a better destiny. Or if you’re just looking for someone to provide the DMV and OASAS impaired screening and assessment for those who have had an arrest related to a DWI, a DWAI, drugs and other illicit substances I can do that as well. Either way, reach out - I offer a private, compassionate and non-judgmental approach guided by the idea that we are all good human beings that have been shaped by past experiences. |
