Adolescents 14+ and Adults
Hi, I’m Rachel Dixon, MHC-P. I hold a bachelor’s in psychology and a master’s in clinical mental health counseling from Niagara University. My journey into this work is rooted in a deep belief in the human capacity to heal and the transformative power of authentic relationships, especially when met with empathy, curiosity, and care. My approach is person-centered, meaning I see you as the expert of your own experience. Together, we build a collaborative and authentic relationship where you feel truly seen, understood, and supported. I also integrate parts work, drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), to help you explore and understand the different parts of yourself. These parts often hold pain, fear, or protective roles, and we’ll work to understand them with curiosity, patience, and compassion. I work with adults navigating trauma, CPTSD, PTSD, depression, identity-related challenges, and relational or attachment difficulties. I’m committed to creating an inclusive, affirming space for people of all backgrounds, with awareness of how systems of oppression shape our lived experiences. In therapy, I show up as a genuine person. I strive to break down power imbalances, honor your story, and support your inner world with care and curiosity. I offer both face-to-face and telehealth sessions. |
