Adult - Student Intern

Mollie Thompson is a student intern from St. Bonaventure University's Clinical Mental Health Master of Science in Education program. She earned a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Geneseo in 2017, with a degree in psychology and communication with a concentration in journalism. She also holds a teaching certification in core subjects (grades 4-8) with an ESL supplemental certification from the State of Texas. 

Mollie is interested in working with adults with a wide variety of client concerns including depression, anxiety, perinatal mental health concerns, obsessive compulsive disorders and more.  She has an LGBTQIA+ affirming approach and is training in CBT, DBT, Schema, ACT, Solution Focused and Motivational Interviewing techniques. 

She has experience working in schools, private companies and nonprofit organizations.  She is currently employed as a Youth Programs Coordinator for a nonprofit hunger relief organization and has worked with an extensive network of food pantries, emergency shelters and schools across the Western New York area. 

Mollie spent several years traveling around the country living in states such as Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan and Texas before returning to her hometown of Buffalo, NY. She is also a proud AmeriCorps Alumni, having served two years in the State and National branch. 

Mollie does not currently accept insurance, rates are $50 per 55-minute session.
